EASY Home volunteering tasks for you
There are so many ways to complete your 6 hours of volunteering, and as a community organisation we need everyone to assist. Here are some of our easiest ways complete hours. Like the sound of any of these? You can find them all on Setls.
Volunteer task | How to do it | Hours credit | Notes |
Promote KTL with your childcare, kinder, playgroup etc. | Reach out to your child's service provider to ask if they could promote our wonderful toy library via their in-house communications platform (e.g. Storypark, Educa). We have created the words to post, which Catherine will forward to you. | 1 hour | Speak with Catherine to check that another member hasn't already spoken to the same service provider. |
Refer a friend ![]() | We know members are great spokespeople for KTL. Refer a friend that joins as an annual membership | 1 hour | Ask your friend to name drop you when they sign up. |
Play at home photos ![]() | Share 5 photos/ videos of play with a range of toys that you are happy to be used on KTL socials and complete the photo permission form. | 1 hour | |
Promote KTL online |
| 1 hour | Email us at info@kingstontoylibrary.com.au to let us know you have completed the tasks. Completed within 3 weeks. Please note you can only do this online volunteering once per year. |
Sensory space ready to go
We are really excited with this new space which is one of our actions from the DAIS (Disaiblity Access Inclusion and Support) pilot. Everyone is welcome to use this space with the toys and equipment to be enjoyed in the library.
We would like to also thank our local Bendigo Bank Parkdale who have supported us with a grant.
New party toys
We have some great new additions to our party toy collection. If you would like to book a party pack follow this LINK.
Specialist collection for children with disabilities.
The collection will focus on switch adapted toys. If you know of a child who would love this, spread the word and invite the family to KTL. Read more about this shared library Toy without barriers.
The toys available at our branch can be found in the front room with green labels near our sensory space.
Toy libraries news

We have been busy with some members assisting distributing posters and flyers. If you see a space that could do with one ask Catherine for a handful and collect to distribute.
We would like to thank Ray White The Bayside Group (Cheltenham) for
sponsoring our flyers.
If you are not already now is the time to follow us on
Committee roles
We have a number of essential roles that ensure Kingston Toy Library can operate. Without them filled we risk having to close.
How can you assist? Please speak with Catherine or contact our President Amy to discuss.
